Cammeray House

Light, calm and casual. That was the brief for this lovely young family in Cammeray who wanted their interior décor to reflect their story.

We worked with the existing floor plan, flipping the function of their living and dining areas to create distinct spaces for kids and adults. A bay window now complements the dining room while a parents’ lounge gives them space to wind down within earshot of the kids’ TV area.

Redesigning the kitchen, TV room joinery, ensuite and powder room, we used a soft, neutral colour palette for window treatments, furniture, rugs, paint and joinery. A deeper blue in the parents’ retreat creates a calming ambience and put the spotlight on their gorgeous timber bedroom furniture.

A true collaboration with the clients, the process of furniture selection developed their interest in Australian design and craftsmanship, as well as sparking a passion for art.

Annie’s style is timeless, artistic and modern, and she was easily able to intuit what we wanted and what best suited the house. She has given us a beautiful, practical home, graced with exceptional pieces and finishes.
